Hi Cees,
Apologies for that oversight. For now, the P3D plan for Leg 07 should work fine as a stand-in. the reason for having so many waypoints on Leg 07 is to steer pilots through the pass west of Mt Shasta. The pass can be flown at 7,200'.
Cheers, Allan

Just to emphasise, this event does not require a tes fight to be flown. Simply nominate a Ground Speed at cruising altitude to help establish target times.
An error in the link to flight information for Leg 3 has been corrected.

The 2023 GAMR is now available for pilot registration with flights scheduled for the second half of August/Early September.
This Rally will follow the route of CAM 8 Air Mail Route from San Diego to Seattle as suggested by Bill Lockwood. It is about half the distance of typical GAAR rallies. This will allow pilots to fly older biplnes from the '20s and '30s, or complete the rally in half the usual flying time.
Any Piston-engined and turboprop aircraft are eligible.
Further updates of files will follow.
Airfield, routes and flights for FS9, FSX, P3D, MSFS and X-Plane will be available shortly.
This year we are asking pilots to simply nominate their Ground Speed at cruising altitude to help establish target times. Just be careful not to use Indicated Air Speed!

The PSAR is based on a previous Bluegrass Rally but has no date limits or registration requirements.
The PSAR is intended as a fun event that allows pilots to fly what they want and practise their navigational skills in their own time.
Participants can complete, or fly as much as they care to of the rally at their leisure.
A series of downloads (for each Flight Leg) are available to help set up standard flight parameters for weather and departure time for each Flight Leg. Whilst departure runways are established as part of these flight parameters, participants are free to choose whatever runway they like. These required files are available under the "PSAR Downloads" links.
We allow pilots to simply nominate their Ground Speed at cruising altitude to find their target times from a supplied table of times for speeds at 5 knot intervals. Just be careful not to use Indicated Air Speed!

Thanks to all who helped to set up this event, putting up with my glitches along the way, and also all who have participated. I hope it has been fun.
Our next Autumnish Rally will be in August, so maybe Summer instead. After an excellent suggestion by Bill Lockwood it will be about half the length of this event and will follow the route of the CAM 8 Air Mail Route.
This will give the option of either flying something slower, like an appropriate biplane, than needed for the GAAR, or flying the same aircraft for half the time.
DC-3 Airways will be running their DC-3 Virtual Airways World Tour 2023 in October. Details can be found on the DC-3 Airways website. For those who are not familiar with the DC3 Airways World Tours, there will be a number of scenic flights throughout the world using DC-3 flown during October.
A further event will be set up on Bluegrass. Wayne Knowles has kindly tweeked the South American Rally from 2011 so that it can be flown at any time without a test flight or registration. This will be a Perpetual South American totally free of time constraints for participating. Anyone choosing to run the event will be encouraged to comment in the forum during/after their run. Details will be ironed out as we go along!
Cheers, Allan
