Hey I forgot one ... of this wonderful train. I just had to find out a bit more about that croc. The croc is meant to be a life size replica of a croc that habited the area awhile ago (1957) ... It's name was KRYS and it's over 8m long.

leg 4
a wonderful river area
and a zync mining area
how can they live together?? you see: many different intentions and interests.....conflicts are unavoidable.... my own private opinion: don't ruin nature!!!
can't help, the Rallye has to go on....
Robinson River....
near Camel Creek we reach....
the Gulf of Carpentaria....
and the Wellesley Islands; Mornington Island
till January the runway was closed for runway pavement workings due to heavy rain problems with damage of the concrete runway surface....
the problems seem to be solved
smooth landing....and my engine smoke problems are getting better: only with high performance on climb and descent.....
have to fill the tanks, just in case.... and here, a wonderful message of Mornington's People:

Well, what a surprise ... it's raining at Barcaldine, but we're only here for an hour or so.

How is it that you guys got to park on the pavement? I got stuck in the grass at Normanton. Oh well, I got out when it was dry at least.

Raphael, if you mean my bird not beeing environemental friendly, then I'll tell you that I just overhauled it before the GAAR was starting, and the emission measurement was within gudelines for a R1380 TwinWasp P&W two row 14 Zylinder double supercharged engine. So there is no more oil or waste blowing out,...but fairly normal exhaust smoke and a reality showing effect for these normal working vantage engines.......and you can bet, all the ancient aircrafts have their own exhaust life, although they are maintained properly, even the Dart-RDa.6-Mk-514-turbo prop, your Avro is fitted with ! the different flightsim levels just hide the effects..... sorry for not being able to describe it better as my mothertongue is not English, but the GAAR committee is strictly observing all the details and abilities of the participant aircrafts,...so don't worry when you see my bird on full throttle,....no damage of anybody will occur... :-) btw: if you'd like to see the "smoke effect" you just update your aircraft's config file....

capflyer,
don't know why you had to park in the grass at Normanton. Even the FS9 default airport is fitted with a (bizarre-shaped) asphalt apron. And I'm glad, because the HS.748 is much more difficult to taxi with than to fly !
jazzthom,
I was just joking, of course, but thank you for sharing with us your knowledge on these old engines with incredible names. I remember I saw your overhaul screenshots before the Rally and trust you when you say that GAAR staff are taking care that all participants' aircrafts are in good condition. I know about the effects parameters, but prefer not to activate engine smoke. I like your screenshots, so please keep posting them till the end. And as you guessed, English is also not my mother language :-)
Ciao, Raphael
