Raphael, if you mean my bird not beeing environemental friendly, then I'll tell you that I just overhauled it before the GAAR was starting, and the emission measurement was within gudelines for a R1380 TwinWasp P&W two row 14 Zylinder double supercharged engine. So there is no more oil or waste blowing out,...but fairly normal exhaust smoke and a reality showing effect for these normal working vantage engines.......and you can bet, all the ancient aircrafts have their own exhaust life, although they are maintained properly, even the Dart-RDa.6-Mk-514-turbo prop, your Avro is fitted with ! the different flightsim levels just hide the effects..... sorry for not being able to describe it better as my mothertongue is not English, but the GAAR committee is strictly observing all the details and abilities of the participant aircrafts,...so don't worry when you see my bird on full throttle,....no damage of anybody will occur... :-) btw: if you'd like to see the "smoke effect" you just update your aircraft's config file....

leg 4
a wonderful river area
and a zync mining area
how can they live together?? you see: many different intentions and interests.....conflicts are unavoidable.... my own private opinion: don't ruin nature!!!
can't help, the Rallye has to go on....
Robinson River....
near Camel Creek we reach....
the Gulf of Carpentaria....
and the Wellesley Islands; Mornington Island
till January the runway was closed for runway pavement workings due to heavy rain problems with damage of the concrete runway surface....
the problems seem to be solved
smooth landing....and my engine smoke problems are getting better: only with high performance on climb and descent.....
have to fill the tanks, just in case.... and here, a wonderful message of Mornington's People:

so this years GAAR just started,....early morning wake up call and a little undecided what will be with my old bird and the race,...still missing Urs with his help, support and all the good images, but he's on a trip somewhere in Africa....okay lets take off for this adventure at 05:00 LT and face to southeast... proud of being airborn after a long overhaul time.... sunrise from the cockpit.....and maybe one of you has seen the small pic of my daughter and her dog when she was a child , they are always with me on board.... gaining altitude as if there never had been a problem..... and the left engine is just running cool and even.....all systems are on the track for this years GAAR ;-) a well earned view.... after an hour or so....seems to have been a few minutes....the target in sight..... right downwind for runway 32, on ATC's order.... turning on final..... my working place for this month......cockpit's view as the runway is way to long I am on a good way to make a perfect timing over here.... well 0.01 difference is tolerable, don't you think??? lol..... parking position near the fuel station, although my plane is pretty full after this short ride....and no BBQ?!?!?! Urs, please help....or are the military personell abstinent? well....let's find out what they offer at this base.....when all this year's collegues are here there might be some kind of party anyway... :-)

Hey guys,...maybe I'll join you again this year, after my desaster in NZ,....I have to maintain and overhaul my bird here in Kununurra to have a chance for this year's GAAR. My friend Urs is not here to help me as he's on an African adventure....so let's hope and pray to find all the pipes, gaskets and oil supporting lines for the engine and all the other "minor problems"....
