New Zealanders and their accent. When Kiwi's speak they pronounce the letter I as an E, therefore if they go to the shop and see an item priced at sixty six dollars they would pronounce it as sexty sex dollars. I get really excited when my Kiwi wife tells me it is six o'clock.

Urs, I am guessing that you may have done your trial flight in Fiji by now, if so, did you try their national drink of Kava, pronounced " Karva" . It is made of plant roots and looks like used dish water in the bowl, but WOW , it sends you into orbit, your lips and tongue go numb and you cannot talk straight for the next four hours. The only thing that can fix that is to drink a large bottle of " Fiji Bitter" beer after each cup of Kava, then you do not notice the Kava effect. We have some great stuff down under on Spaceship Earth. Happy flying. Rob

Salü Rob, I have to answer right away, your story is an amusement to read, even if you sleep in down under! Like Mark Twain's story "a trip trough europe". Well first let me to to translate that "sixtxy six story" into to swiss german: "Sächsesächst sächst" is the result. And evening at six means: "sächsi". No wunder, if you drill a hole frome here direct through the the earth, you will end up in NZ.. Check!
About beer and drinks: Since the "after work" drink is "Cüpli" a glass of cheep champange bowl and the swiss beer is sold to a dutch company, everybody drinks privat home made beer, like: "Quellfrösch". You don't remember the evening before..
Cheers to you

Thom and Urs, If either of you guys ever come to Ozzie let me know as it would be great to meet you, stay with us awhile and have a real BBQ also, and naturally a drink or three also. I live on a small island called Bribie Island, connected to the mainland with a bridge and about 45 minutes drive north of Brisbane Intl airport. You can come also Allan if you wish. :-)
Cheers Rob

I am a little confused on what flight time I should submit for leg 4. The flight instructions says to make a full stop landing and shutdown at Napier airport NZNR then it goes on to say fly on to Palmerston North NZPM. Should I add the flight time it took me to fly to Napier to the time it took me to fly from Napier to Palmerston North in the pirep?

Gary,
That's correct, we need the total flight time for the two legs. If you have Tom's timer installed it will only show the time above any taxying that you choose to do. So add the times for the two legs for the pirep.
cheers, Allan

When will the roster be updated? It looks like the NZAR event is going no where.

I tend to agree Bill, have not seen any updates from the directors for weeks. Maybe they have lost interest. Even Bluegrass is almost a corpse to what it was previously. Maybe it needs a shot in the arm from someone that may be interested in the VA and these type of events.

The roster will be updated tonight. The event does not start for another ten days.
Is that an offer of assistance Carl? If so it is very welcome, just drop an email to the bluegrass staff email address.

Enjoying the flights , but found out I had allowed to much on my registration flight ! With the tail winds on the first flight I found my self trying to mush along at 18" of manifold pressure an 2200RPM and still getting there early. Light planes much more effected by the wind . Having Fun and enjoying the screen shots an comments. On to TAURANGA
