Here are my screenshots of flight 05 from Georgetown YGTN to Cooktown YCKN At 7:00 LT, at the crack of dawn, take-off Climbing out over Georgetown At 4000 ft settling into cruise speed of around 158 KTAS to waypoint CT2WA. In the far distance the sun is reflected in a lake situated alongside the Einasleigh River
After about 15 minutes the crossing of the Einasleigh River
And ten minutes later yet another river glistening in the sun and two mounts, Mount Valentine and Mount May, rise from the morning mist. Already past the halfway point the dirtstrip Jonroy airport located along the Mitchell River A few minutes later looking into the opposite direction for a distant view at Mitchell River After about one hour I flew over this small lake, I think it is a reservoir. But LNM does not show any name or any places nearby. The Pacific comes into view, we are almost at the destination Already descending and now turning to final Vacating the runway Cooktown

Here my screenshots of flight 06 Cooktown to Kowanyama. The first flight of three in heavy to very heavy rain conditions. Ready to taxi onto the runway 11 The runway is wet, very wet. The plane and red nav light are reflected by the tarmac. Take of to the east with a view on Cooktown and the mouth of the Endeavour River. Out over the sea making a turn to the west. Mount Cook is visible inside the cloud to the right of the tail. And back over the airfield at 3000 ft, well below the cloud base. Quite soon a surprise, a rainbow. I did not know they existed in the virtual world. And than three screenshots which tell it all about the cruising phase: All gray All gray with the ground visible And an occasional small area without rain. Turning to base. And no rain. Will it be an easy landing? No easy landing. Flying low over the tree tops waiting for "runway in sight" And than "runway in sight" Parked at Kowanyama. I made it.
But I did not pay enough attention to the timer in the last five miles. So 1.5 minutes late.

Here are my screenshots of flight 07 Kowanyama to Mornington Island
A very early start in heavy rain. Terrible weather. Taxiing onto runway 12. Weather looks slightly better. Gaining speed for the take-off run. All of a sudden at 23 minutes into the flight a pause in the rain. Already over Mornington Island, looking at the Sandalwood Place River Turning to final Completely unexpectedly I got perfect visibility in the last few miles to the runway. It did not help much for the timing though. This time I was 1.5 minutes early. But safely parked and still dry.

Mornington airfield... deep sigh.... turning to downwind..... pretty busy airfield,...hmmm??? turning to base,...all systems "go",... very good timing have to increase speed as headwind gusts are against us okay,..that's it,...flare out... taxi to ... whereto??? oh,...friendly marshalling in front of the gasoline station... friendly welcome comittee!!! it's really busy over here,...although only a small island let's meet some friends and have some fun....Urs would have prepared a wonderful BBQ....Cheers to him and all of you!!!

Leaving YCKN enroute to YKOW in rain and low vis! Looks like may be bad weather all the way! Yep, bad weather low vis all the way to YKOW pattern alt, no good shots available! Used most of the wet/slick runway on roll out and stop, turn around & backtaxi to exit! Parked, fueled up, feedbag off and ready for flight 07 real soon! Making the obligatory phone call to the Boss (the wife)!!

not sure what I am doing wrong, trying a different source here. How are you doing it at the present time? Are you using an image posting site like Imjur or such? If I can be of help I would certainly give you a hand Sir!

Here are my screenshots for flight 08. During the flight I found out that something was wrong with the weather preset I created. In flight I changed the weather to a more difficult setting which almost led to a failed landing.
Ready to start the engines. 180 degree turn at the beginning of runway 09 TO roll with plenty of water coming off the main gear. Climbing out over Mornington Turning to course 308 M over Isec MTIEF 11 minutes after TO. During the flight the weather remained like this... which made me wondering.
After 50 minutes, rather late in hindsight, I got the idea to check my weather. Compared to Allan's weather there was an important difference. There was no cloudlayer between 4500 ft and 11000 ft, but a cloudlayer between 2500 and 5500 ft, generating a lot less rain and much better visisbility. I changed the cloudlayer thickness in flight with the timer running resulting in quite a change.
A very tiny patch of Groote Eylandt between the clouds and a small pause in the rain. And than the visibility became very difficult to master. Flying on the GPS I was able to find the runway. At the very last possible moment I had the runway in sight. As a result I made a totally irresponsible landing. I could not make any screenshots of that maneuver. But I managed and was able to taxi to the parking.

leg8
from YMTI to YGTE .... Island hopping without sight.... takeoff with acceptable visual conditions last glimpse back to Mornington turning northwest soon we get into a grayish nearly completely dense rainy soup feeling secure in my old bird and under Urs' protection.... we are glad to be well equipped, cause this sight will be for more than an hour....tiring and annoying at last a sign of a coast line... Groote Eylandt still not inviting VMC in the end we can "see" the PAPI lights relief!! entering the landing pattern out of our tailwind... turning to base..... checklist done.... fuel pumps on, flaps pos 1, landing lights on, gear coming down.... still no ideal conditions.... coming in high and fast to catch the time.... wheening brakes.... unawaited busy airfield.... parking position recommended via radio near the Grumman Goose.... sharp ground turn and breaks set, engines off.... another Goose coming in,...there might be a crowd... a wink and a smile,..let's meet authorities.... nobody is really interested in coming into te rain.... all welcome talk is done,...so let's have some fun,...rain will be gone tomorrow.... see ya!
