You are back.... glad to hear from you... Hope viewers realize that they can fly with MSfS 2020... Just a little different setup is needed...
Hope I can get weather information early so I can remake it for FSX 2020...
Will check back later...

I just checked the roster and see there is only one pilot flying the sim MSFS... I hope pilots realize that you can fly MSFS it only takes a little more to get going... just put the flight plan in Little NAV MAP or Plan G and export it to the local state folder in MSFS... now when you fly MSFS the flight plan will be there... also with extra effort it is possible to set the weather from GEAR WEATHER to MSFS or just select one of the presets available... Even though I a not on the roster I expect to be there soon...Hope this gets more MSFS flyers to the rally... If I can be of any help just post and I will reply... Gunk/Wayne

Hey Allan, hope you have had a bit of time to somewhat slow down now that the Rally in underway, first two flights were great & looking forward to the next 8! I do have a question though! Is there anyway to edit a post in the screenshot forum to fix spelling errors, I couldn't find an edit button! Just noticed a mispelling after I hit the reply button! No big deal, just curious!

Hi Roger,
If you join the forum then you can edit any of your posts, maybe that facility is not open to guest posts. I think I found the spelling mistake!
Cheers, Allan

Gunk/WayneHi Wayne, Hi Wayne, Does the timer app work in MSFS? I thought about using MSFS for this but I didn't fancy any of the default aircraft (almost all G1000 equipped), and the only prop driven payware I have are the DC-6 (which is a bit large for this) and a Spitfire (which has no nav receivers). Maybe by the time the next rally comes around I'll have something "classic" that's suitable. The MSFS scenery is perfect for this kind of flying. Kevin

Kevin, I had to use the Beech Bonansa G58 with the glass cockpit and it has enough power to fly the rally... Also I/we (me and Jerry) have been able to setup the weather using the weather informaition and it works fine. Of course the .flt files are not setup for MSFS but that is not a show stopper... Hope this is helpful... Gunk

Just completed flight 08. It was a good flight - nobody died. The weather was nice also. I’m trying to get close to the target times, so far with varying degrees of success. On this flight, I diverted down to Salzach Valley to facilitate descent to Salzburg. Everybody in the airplane was wide awake for that. Ernie and I are going to take Nancy out for a night on the town. We won't be in shape to fly tomorrow, so we'll wait a day or do until flight 09.

I'd certainly echo those thoughts, Roger. I've always enjoyed GAAR but GEAR has been spectacular. Thanks Allan.
