I've got mine set up so that when I hit Shift+1 it appears on the screen in the virtual cockpit in my MJ C-47.
Hello! I am in trouble getting my FTimer displayed. I Have installed the Douglas C-47 Beta V3.1406. I am now running P3Dv4. I have had the timer installed in the same plane for FS9 and P3Dv3 in the past and running normally. I have now P3Dv4 and I do not get the timer displayed. As usual I have followed the gauge installation instructions but I do not manage to get it displayed on my virtual cockpit. I hope to get some help before taking my test flight! Regards, Domingos

dnunes, try the following, I copied it from a past forum post.
FLIGHT TIMER POP-UP WINDOW CODE
Dayle, Sean, et al,
The following code for the panel.cfg file places the Flight Timer as a pop-up window in the top left corner of the screen. I have created this in Manfred Jahn's C-47 V2.
1. Create a backup of the panel.cfg file. 2. Open the panel.cfg file in Notepad. 3. Under the [Window Titles] section, insert the following line, where xx is the next number in the sequence:
Windowxx=Timer
4. Scroll down to the current last entry ([Window06] in this case) and insert the following, it should be just above the [Vcockpit01] entry:
[Windowxx] size_mm=90,50 position=0 visible=0 ident=Timer gauge00=..\..\panel gauges\Digital Timer!FTime, 0,0,90,50
5. Make sure the xx number corresponds with [Window Titles] entry above. 6. Save the file. 7. If you have FSX open and the aircraft loaded / selected, you will need to reload the aircraft for the changes to take affect.
Important Note. I use the Timer in a number of different aircraft, so I place the Timer files in a dedicated folder under the following folder structure, FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\panel gauges\Digital Timer\. This is important because of the gauge00= line entry in the code. If you place the files elsewhere, you will have to alter the gauge00= entry accordingly.
If the gauge is too big or too small, adjust the 90 and 50 entries in the size_mm= and gauge00= lines respectively until it suits. You will have to save the file and reload the aircraft each time as per Step 7 above.
Good luck! At least it makes sense to me, but just ask me any questions and I will try and get you there.
Cheers Andrew

Hello Andrew,
I have been trying to install the FT as you recommend, but I didn't succeed until now. As I had been previously trying to install the module, I decided to delete the installation and start with a new installation. As I think having mentioned before, I am running P3Dv4, 64 bit. I have three panel files: panel.cfg, panel.cfg32bit and panel.cfg64bit. Until now I have been using the .cfg file, but I think I should rename the panel.cfg64bit to panel.cfg and use it.
For the line gauge00=..\..\panel gauges\Digital Timer!FTime, 0,0,90,50, do I have to indicate the full path H:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\...?
Regards,
Domingos

If the above info still doesn't resolve your problem... I am running P3dv4.4 I put the digital gauge in the root …/gauges directory and it is available for use in other planes. Also, it seems that a recent update of Windows 10 has a negative effect on updating the "PANEL.CFG" file by saving the update as PANEL.CFG.txt and this can also give you a problem. One more thing if the gauge is very small it is difficult to undock and move it to another location on the screen. Hope this helps.

That recent widows 10 update completely wrote- off my P3D 4.4.
Had to go through and delete everything, P3, PMDG , Quality Wings and Milviz aircraft, Orbx, Rex, Navigraph and what ever else was on there. Two and a half days later finally got everything back on and up and running.
This is not the first time Windows updates have caused problems with p3D users, these updates can be a P in the A.
Cheers Rob

Regards, Domingos Hi domingos, Running P3Dv4 latest version here.
Would suggest you try following:
Place the "Digital" folder into your P3Dv4 stock Gauges folder. Do not worry about the gauge itself, no worries. It is a xml file, and works whatever 32 or 64 bits.
Open the MJ C-47 panel.cfg you intend to use to let the additional window exist
Beginning of mine looks like
[Window Titles] Window00=Main Panel Window01=Fuel and Payload Window02=Control Panel Window03=Monitor Window04=Clipboard Window05=GPS Window06=FT Timer Window10=Monitor Help Window11=Keys
//--------------------------------------------------------
Then create the additional pop-up window. Mine is as follows:
[Window06] Background_color=0,0,0 size_mm=78,31 window_size_ratio=1.000 position=6 visible=0 ident=9020 type=SPECIAL
gauge00=Digital!FTime, 0,0,77,30
//--------------------------------------------------------
The "size_mm=78,31" line are the dimensions of the pop-up window itself. The "gauge00=Digital!FTime, 0,0,77,30" calls the gauge and locates it in the left low corner of my 1280x1024 pixels screens with a gauge dimensions of 77x30. But I must say that I have reworked the box.bmp file to only display the border and no text. You will have to experiment somehow with the window and gauge size to adapt it to your screen resolution.

Thanks Philippe!
It worked! I will only need to increase the window dimensions slightly. But it is there.
Thanks a lot.

Burton, Glad to see you made to the Official GAAR 2019 forum, First, what sim were you using, by your post I assume you had no trouble in the sim getting the ADF to point to SDM or RIC. In little Nav Map RIC is on the west side of the Richmond airfield. you may need to zoom in quite a bit because the TACAN is also on the west side of the airfield so the symbols may be overlapping [img src=" my.jetscreenshot.com/22079/m_20190228-tmfb-230kb.jpg" alt="" style="max-width:100%;" src=""] I am using FSX to fly this and Little Nav Map as well

Couple of questions 1) do these flights have to be on line, Vatsim, Ivao or off line or does it matter. 2) The legs have to be flown on the specified date and pirep's submitted on that date or before the next leg date only, or can they be flown anytime and submitted on the date required Seems like a long time between legs or can you fly them as many times as you like to get a better time or one flight only for each leg . Guess that is more than a couple of questions but new and want to get it right Thanks

Guess that is more than a couple of questions but new and want to get it right Thanks 1. Does not matter, can be online or offline. 2. Flown on the date is preferred but not a hard requirement, you may fly them ahead of time to fit your real life schedule. The pireps should be filed before the deadline. But don't sweat the pirep deadline too much they are known for accepting them late, I myself have submitted 5 reports on the last day. As Alen said they run a loose ship and only crack down when necessary. It is recommended to fly the legs several times, some take the best time and others like myself take an average time. This is what I did on the test flight I flew it 3 times and average the time from each run to get my test score. Then I take the average time for each leg for my pirep time.
