Guys,
I do relise that there are still 4 legs to go for this years GAAR but am posting this early as I will be away from home from now until the end of the GAAR.
Firstly I would like to thank all that are flying and hope that you are having fun and enjoyment flying the event, the screenies and comments are what makes the GAAR what it is today and the work involved worthwhile.
I myself have the easy and fun job of mapping out the flight plans and test flying. Allan, the man that has the big job of running this event is the man that deserves the BIG applause.
As many of you will know over the last two years we have run a September rally in New Zealand. This year our September rally will move to a new country, beautiful Canada, and over the coming years our flights will venture into Alaska, so we will look forward to you once again joining us for September rallies and of course GAAR 2018.
As a side note, Flight Replicas have in development a C-54 Skymaster, early screenies look promising so let's hope that she is a beauty.
Thanks guys, enjoy the GAAR and happy flights. Rob

Blimey, squeeze that onto your avatar at your peril.
At a guess, it might be a clash between an add-on bit of scenery and that ndb.
I had similar problems in a FS9 installation. The only way round that I found was to keep the GPS and any radio tracking switched off, or not displayed, and then creep by the offending area with dead reckoning.

That was my first guess but I dont have any addon scenery in area except for the fireworks at the end. which is why I have verified steam files twice now, but everything seams to check out ok.

Ok, My issue has been resolved. First Malware anitbites found and removed potential unwanted program (PUP) that came with last download. Second I ran CCleaner pro and found and fixed several reg errors. And last verified FSX:Steam Edition again this time found 5 files that needed restoring.
I was then able to complete Leg 6 without loading the flight plan. Will try leg 7 tonight.

Name the plane in the picture........Lancaster ? That's right Rob. Only sound better than a Merlin must be four Merlins! If Thomas or Urs would like to suggest any routes we'd be happy to consider them. Just so long as it doesn't divert you too much from entertaining us with the great screenshot stories. cheers, Allan

Just completed flight 10. I had lights for the instruments, but it was still kinda dark outside the airplane. We managed to land OK, but don't you guys think it's just a bit early to start drinking beer? What are we supposed to do now? Go out surfing with the seals and the white sharks?
Hey Bluegrass Airlines guys, it was a fun flight. THANK YOU very much for putting it together!

Never to early for beer Paughco, it is always Beer-O'Clock somewhere in the world, just adjust your watch to the appropriate time zone then all is good.
Glad that you enjoyed the rally, it was a pleasure to put it all together.
