Rob, Thanks, as you can see, I got it to work...sort of! I was poking around and found "fs-snaps" over at Mutleys Hanger.

Don
You should have a good view of the NZ countryside through that big clear bubble.

Hi Guys, Here is the MAAM-SIM DC3 I am using with FSX and default scenery. I thought it fitting to use a New Zealand oriented livery. I have upgraded NZAA and NZQN with freeware AFCAD scenery from the AVSIM library. I have completed legs 1,2 and 3 of the route as I will be away for the last part of the rally so I have to finish it a bit early. Posing at Auckland as the Journey commences. Taxiing to the runway. Departing NZAA with a view of the town. On approach to NZHK on leg 3 of the rally. Cheers Brian

And, We're off! Departing Auckland, clattering our way south(ish)
The view is pretty spectacular. With the temps in the 50s F, bugs shouldn't be a problem.
And on to New Plymouth...

Don,
No bugs as you journey further south, too darn cold. You may even need your thermal underware in that chopper. :-)

Hi Guys, Leg 4, (NZHK to NZQN via NZMF) in my opinion, has the best scenic views. Therefore, please forgive the extra screen shots. Departing Hokatika (NZHK) The land of the long white cloud doesn't disappoint! Every pilot's nightmare! MOUNTAIN AHEAD!! Time to go around. Nice beach with a bit of surf near NZMJ Entering Milford Sound and following the canyon to NZMF. Passing over the delightful NZMF. I have landed (and departed) a DC3 here on a previous flight. (ORBX NZMF scenery). Approaching Queenstown from the lake side is the best way to arrive at either runway. Approaching Rwy23 by going around the hill and following the river to the airport. Landed at Queenstown! I have been here many times virtually and once for real. Thank you for persevering through these photos. I'll keep the rest to a minimum. Cheers Brian

No..no..no Brian, keep the pic's coming, the more the better and it all adds to making a good rally.
Your DC-3 is a very early model with the door on the RHS, do you know who operated the aircraft previously, possibly American Airlines, their DC-3's had right hand doors. A few other airlines also ordered RH doors in the very early days but most if not all apart from AA changed to LH doors.
