I will add you to the roster, fly as and when you can. In the virtual world there's no such thing as late.
On the topic of timeing, FS does not necessarily agree with the PC clock, or any other. I remember having a number of forum discussions going back a few years over the meaning of time and differences in measuring it! After some of them Tom came up with his timer.
So for simplicity using the FS clock, if not Tom's, is the simplest approach. Using GMT for start and finishes also avoids any regional variations, although I'm not sure if that will apply on this GAAR.

Allan,
On leg 07, there is a 4-hour time lapse after the full stop landing at the intermediate Winton. Rather than leave the computer idling for all that time and drinking cold coffee, is it acceptable to simply reset the time to 12:30 for the departure, or will that lead to the 'wrong' weather?

Hi Dave,
We had to allow time for bar bills to get settled! Just reset the time, the weather is constant.

Anyone using Active Sky Next for weather on this Rally? If so how is the correct weather input into ASN?

Not sure about ASN as I do not have it on my sim. What we have tried to do in this years GAAR is keep the weather constant for simplicity for the individual legs. You are welcome to use your ASN if you wish, the choice is yours. Sorry I can't answer your question directly but if you fly with weather that is close to that listed for the sector , that will be fine.

Anyone using Active Sky Next for weather on this Rally? If so how is the correct weather input into ASN? If I had actual METAR for each leg, I can input that manually into ASN. Another option is to load the historical date and time that the weather was created from.

This year the weather was set as user defined weather as close to the declared conditions and set for all airfields. So if you can set something similar in ASN that should do, we are just trying to keep everyone flying in somewhat similar conditions between different sims.

I just downloaded the fireworks for leg 10 and tested it out. Unfortunately I arrived at Hervey Bay before 19:00 local. Can I add one hour to the departure time at Rockhampton?
Serves me right for choosing a fast turboprop!

Good point Bill, by all means adjust the take-off time to make sure you enjoy the pyrotechnics at Hervey Bay. The start time in the setup is an approximation to get most aircraft arriving in the right time interval, but anyone needing to set off late or early to enjoy the fireworks should adjust the take-off accordingly. It would be a shame to miss the whizzbangs!
