Okay guys, will leave as is. If your sim has a discrepancy in the flight planned runway, just use the closest runway direction to the plan.

Hi Urs, Thanks for all the work that you are putting in. Un fortunately the airport at Cambridge is not listed on the Australian AIP for confirmation. It is more of a flying club airport next to Hobart International and obviously there are discrepancies showing up between the various sim's.
I know many do not like to add or change things on their flight sim so a suggestion would be to use Hobart International for the arrival rather than Cambridge. By doing that it would not make a difference to the route or Navaid data, just a quick update on the arrivals information of the flight plan, what would be your thoughts on doing that ? It may be a lot simpler for those that are not computer experts, like me :-)
Let me know what you think and when Allan returns home this coming weekend we can sort it out from there.
Thanks and cheers Rob

Yes David, there is a lot of "Cumulus Grantis" along the MacPherson Ranges, not a place for low flying. Hope you have a spare aircraft back at Archerfield. :-)

"In The Mood" Urs, very nice. When I was a young fellow I lived very close to Camden Airport and spent quite a lot of time there before moving on to the heavies.
Nice offer with the Caribou Dave, I was thinking more along the lines of chartering a pressurised DC-6 for freighting everything around. We may even end up with more Ozzie performers tagging along like John Farnham, Jimmie Barns, Icehouse or Simply Red, over to you Urs, you make a great entertainment officer.........:-)
Fun to all Rob

Hi John,
Speaking for Allan as he is away until next weekend.
Firstly thank you for preparing the fireworks, most appreciated.
Allan and I have previously discussed the difference between various sims and their versions, naturally there are some small variations.
When I do the flight plans I use the official Australian AIP which is runway 12, so FS9 has a small error there where as FSX which was used for this GAAR shows the correct runway direction, obviously an update.
I would suggest that those with FS9 just use runway 14 and the fireworks showing up between the two runway directions if that can be done.
This will be the last GAAR using FSX for flight planning, next years And all future GAAR's will be done using P3D v3 so it will be interesting to see how that works out.
Thanks John Rob

Urs, my wife Annemarie never told me that she had put in for that bargirl job I thought I recognised the face from the photo.
I will speak to her tonight to make sure that she behaves herself on the trip.
Will she be flying with your aircraft because anything smaller than a 747 or A380 she tends to go shaky at the knees and sceams at every bump.

For all those wondering or asking regarding the "Roster",
Allan is away all this week in London and returning home next weekend.
Upon Allan's return he will start compiling the roster at his earliest convenience for all to view, please just be a little patient.
All we are asking at this stage is to email your test flight results and registration to Allan so he can start compiling upon his return, along with any small errors in the flight planning, that bits my fault.....:-)
Thanks for understanding.
Cheers

Well Urs, PHIL sounds like he could be a great asset to this event. How is he at being a barman to serve the drinks and at cooking seafood on our BBQ's ?

Urs, if you can remember your login details from GAAR 2016, you can use that.
I hit register and it remembered my email address, then hit forgot password, email was sent to me, put in new password and all good from there.

Hi Ed, Thanks for your very kind comments and glad that you enjoyed the NZAR. The GAAR for 2017 is in development for next February with some other adventures also coming, so stay tuned. I flew into Wanaka in March this year in a DC-3, one week before the airshow, went to the museum there and stayed at the Edgewater Resort, very nice area. Just a note whilst you have races against your Huntsmen spiders, the 3 B727's that the NZAF operated were the 100 series and were ex United Airlines aircraft bought from Boeing after they were traded - in.
Cheers Rob

Sorry Woody,
I don't think our pyrotechnic flew this rally so you may have to light your own packet of sparklers once you get back on the ground. Apologies for no fireworks.
Cheers Rob
