(1) FOR FS9 users only (because it WON'T work in FSX:-
------------------------------------------------------------
YCMG_AF2 and exclude files for FS9 ONLY.zip (3.71 KB)
As YCMG rwy 12/30 did not exist when FS9 was released, it is missing from the FS9 default scenery, as are taxiways, and parking. This zipfile contains an AF2 file which adds runway 12/30, taxiways and some parking in a "rough and ready approximation" of the correct place(s). I have not change the other runways, which according to GoogleEarth, are slightly out of position. It also adds 8 exclude files to prevent aircraft running into autogen bushes and buildings.
INSTALLATION: unzip the file and install all 9 .BGL files in your ADDON SCENERY\SCENERY folder.
nb:- If you look at the AF2 file using AFCAD2, you will see 2 lines, each of 9 nodes to the NNE of the airfield. These are non-functional, and can be deleted, but indicate the launch points for 2 firework displays.
(2) FOR EVERYONE WHO LIKES GOING "OOH" AND "AAH":-
------------------------------------------------------------
GAAR_2017_Finale Fireworks_rwy12-30.zip (398 B)
GAAR_2017_Finale Fireworks_rwy14-32.zip (397 B)
These are 2 displays to be used according to which runway you intend to land on at YCBG. The displays last from 18:00 to 21:00 local time on 14th March 2017 only. It is strongly recommended that you do not instal both of them, as the resultant "Ruhr Valley Effect" can get quite interesting (especially on rwy12/30, as the eastern end of the 14/32 display is very close to the rwy 30 threshold.
INSTALLATION: unzip the file and put the .BGL file in your ADDON SCENERY\SCENERY folder (or wherever you like to keep such things).
nb:- It is strongly recommended that you do not install both displays, as the resultant "Ruhr Valley Effect" can get quite interesting, especially on rwy12/30, as the eastern end of the 14/32 display is very close to the rwy 30 threshold (I have no doubt some people will ignore this instruction, but at least you have been warned).
One other thing: the fireworks displays have been tested in FS9 ONLY, but should work in FSX (previous ones did), but if anyone has problems, please let me know.
